Organizational Context

The Mexican Association of Psychology and Community Development is dedicated to the professional growth of individuals, particularly those in vulnerable groups. They focus on mental health projects with a gender perspective to foster community development. The association aims to provide training and consulting services grounded in human rights and scientific principles, contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals and gender equality, while also offering integral psychological support to victims of violence and promoting mental health programs.

Job Purpose

The Association seeks to enhance the leadership capabilities of its psychologists and collaborators to improve coordination, participation, and overall activity development. This role involves conducting a diagnostic assessment to identify strengths, opportunities, and needs related to leadership skills among participants. A key objective is to strengthen the capacity of psychologists to effectively delegate responsibilities within teams, fostering better task distribution, increased engagement, and skill development. The ultimate aim is to empower collaborators, promote more participatory and effective leadership, and improve the organization's efficiency and achievement of institutional goals through virtual workshops.

Responsibilities

The Online Volunteer will collaborate with the Secretary-General to conduct a training needs assessment focused on leadership, delegation, team coordination, communication, and participation. This assessment will target psychologists and project collaborators, excluding individual psychological or clinical evaluations. The Association will clearly explain the activity's purpose and data usage to participants, ensuring no unnecessary personal or clinical data is collected. Results will be aggregated and anonymized. Based on the findings, the volunteer will prepare materials and deliver a virtual leadership workshop tailored to identified needs. The assignment does not include providing psychological counseling or treatment.

Work Experience

A minimum of one year of demonstrable experience in leadership, power dynamics, team development, organizational development, talent management, or competency diagnostics is required. Experience in designing and implementing leadership diagnostics, competency assessments, or development needs analyses is also necessary. Additionally, experience in facilitating workshops, training sessions, or capacity-building processes related to leadership and teamwork is essential.

Skills

The role requires excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills for virtual environments. The volunteer must be capable of working autonomously, organizing activities, and coordinating virtually with the Association's team. Experience in leadership, power dynamics, team development, organizational development, talent management, and competency diagnostics is crucial. Familiarity with designing and applying leadership assessments and facilitating training sessions on leadership and teamwork is also important.
