Job Purpose

This involves close collaboration with business data owners, data stewards, and technical teams to define and manage critical master and reference data entities. The primary goal is to enhance data quality, establish trusted golden records, and provide standardized reference data for consistent use across WIPO's diverse systems and processes. Responsibilities include partnering with business units and data owners to define requirements, prioritize data needs, and establish ownership and stewardship. The role involves analyzing source systems and data flows to develop master and reference data models and integration specifications. Configuration and maintenance of MDM processes, such as matching, deduplication, and hierarchy management, are key. Defining and monitoring data quality rules, investigating issues, and coordinating remediation efforts are also essential. The incumbent will develop, test, and maintain code and configurations within the Informatica environment, support deployment, and document master and reference data entities, definitions, and lineage. Collaboration with external partners and vendors, and staying updated on MDM trends are also part of the role.

Work Experience

Essential skills include a strong understanding of MDM concepts (golden records, matching, survivorship) and reference data management. Proficiency in applying data governance principles to master and reference data is crucial. The ability to analyze business processes, data flows, and quality issues, and translate them into practical data models and configurations is required. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills are necessary for effective collaboration with diverse stakeholders.
