Job Purpose
The Business Innovation Manager will serve as a key member of the Business Innovation Unit (BIU)/UN Advisory Alliance (UNAA), acting as WFP's internal management consulting arm. Responsibilities
The Business Innovation Manager will execute business innovation projects and contribute to overall priorities within the Business Innovation Unit (BIU)/UN Advisory Alliance (UNAA). This role involves acting as the "management consulting arm" of the World Food Programme (WFP), supporting senior leadership on organizational initiatives, and guiding cross-functional discussions to align objectives and timelines. The manager will provide analytical and project management support, acting as an advisor to initiative sponsors and driving implementation. A key responsibility includes supporting UN Reform initiatives, such as the Business Operations Strategy and Common Back Office, by performing data analyses and engaging with stakeholders. The role also entails supporting knowledge management, sharing best practices, and potentially guiding junior staff. Deliverables will depend on the candidate's experience and corporate priorities, ranging from leading project work streams to managing small projects, all aimed at finding new approaches and optimizing resource allocation for WFP's humanitarian efforts.
Work Experience
Requires approximately 7 years of progressive national and/or international experience in a business or international relations role. A minimum of 7 years of experience in management consulting or innovative finance is mandatory. Additional work experience is considered desirable.
