Job Purpose
The Commercial Assistant provides crucial commercial, logistical, administrative, and documentary support to enhance project efficiency. This role is instrumental in identifying and strengthening collaboration opportunities with businesses, institutions, and strategic partners. The objective is to facilitate market access, add value to products, and bolster the coffee value chain, thereby promoting the economic growth and autonomy of beneficiary producer organizations.
Responsibilities
The Commercial Assistant will support commercial development by gathering market information and tracking commercial actions. Key administrative duties include general office support, document filing, data entry, and maintaining accurate records and reports on commercial activities and market access. The role involves supporting reception functions, coordinating meetings, and managing office facilities and supplies. Logistical support is essential for organizing meetings, workshops, travel, and events to identify target markets and business opportunities. Additionally, the assistant will manage staff travel arrangements, including bookings and security clearances.
Work Experience
Requires 0-3 years of relevant experience in commercial, logistical, documentary, and administrative support, preferably within development projects, business management, marketing, or institutional relations. Experience in establishing strategic alliances and proficiency with office productivity tools are desirable.
