Job Purpose
Under the supervision of the Administrative Assistant, the G-2 Driver will provide reliable and safe driving services, upholding the highest standards of professionalism, discretion, integrity, and responsibility. This role requires excellent knowledge of protocol and adherence to local driving rules and regulations. The Driver must demonstrate a client-oriented approach, a high sense of responsibility, courtesy, tact, and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment. The primary function is to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of personnel, officials, and visitors, along with the proper maintenance and documentation of assigned vehicles.
Responsibilities
The Driver will be responsible for providing reliable and safe driving services for office personnel, officials, and visitors. This includes operating office vehicles for transportation needs, ensuring the security and well-being of passengers at all times. A key responsibility is the regular maintenance of the assigned vehicle, including checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and performing minor repairs as needed to ensure optimal performance and safety. The Driver must also maintain accurate records and documentation related to the vehicle, such as mileage logs, fuel consumption, maintenance schedules, and any incident reports. Adherence to local traffic laws and regulations is paramount. The Driver will also be expected to assist with other related duties as assigned by the supervisor, contributing to the smooth operation of the office.
Work Experience
At least two years of proven professional driving experience, preferably with companies, international institutions, or UN organizations with a satisfactory performance evaluation.
