Job Purpose
The PSP IG Assistant will support the Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) Innovation and Growth (IG) team in their efforts to engage with private sector entities and individuals to generate resources and support for refugees. This role involves assisting in the development and implementation of innovative fundraising strategies, managing donor relationships, and contributing to the overall growth of PSP initiatives. The assistant will play a crucial role in identifying new opportunities for partnerships, coordinating outreach activities, and ensuring effective communication with stakeholders. The position aims to enhance UNHCR's capacity to mobilize private sector support, thereby contributing to the agency's mission of protecting and assisting refugees worldwide.
Responsibilities
The PSP IG Assistant will be responsible for providing comprehensive support to the Private Sector Partnerships (PSP) Innovation and Growth (IG) team. This includes assisting in the research and identification of potential corporate partners, foundations, and individual donors. The role involves supporting the development and execution of fundraising campaigns and initiatives, including digital fundraising efforts and events. The assistant will help manage donor databases and ensure accurate record-keeping of interactions and contributions. Furthermore, the position requires contributing to the preparation of proposals, reports, and presentations for donors and partners. The assistant will also support the coordination of communication materials and outreach activities to engage the private sector. This includes assisting in the drafting of correspondence, social media content, and other communication tools. The role may also involve assisting in the monitoring of partnership activities and providing input for performance evaluation. The assistant will work closely with the IG team to foster innovative approaches to private sector engagement and contribute to the growth of sustainable funding streams for UNHCR's operations.
Work Experience
Some relevant work experience in fundraising, marketing, communications, or partnership development is desirable. Experience in the non-profit sector or with international organizations is an asset.
