The Pan American Health Organization (PAHO) serves as the Regional Office for the Americas of the World Health Organization (WHO).
Job Purpose
To shape a healthier, safer, and more resilient workplace across PAHO by designing, delivering, and improving occupational health, mental health, and staff well-being initiatives.
Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and evaluate occupational health, mental health, and well-being initiatives. Coordinate clinical and preventive health services. Lead wellness and resilience programs. Monitor and analyze workforce health data. Support policy development and administration of health-related entitlements. Collaborate with internal and external partners.
Work Experience
Seven years of combined national and international experience in delivering occupational health services in a clinical, corporate, governmental or intergovernmental environment.
Skills
Strong knowledge of nursing principles, emergency care, occupational health practices, and protocols. Ability to design and implement health promotion and preventive health initiatives. Capacity to collect, interpret, analyze, and visualize health-related data. Strong professional oral and written communication skills. High level of discretion, tact, and confidentiality. Ability to provide first aid. Knowledge of occupational and travel health challenges. Familiarity with digital health technologies and AI-enabled systems. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders. Strong organizational skills.
