This includes coordinating Community Violence Reduction (CVR) and Disarmament, Demobilization, and Reintegration (DDR) activities, and collaborating with local communities and stakeholders to design and implement locally-led initiatives. Staff and stakeholder management involves supervising programme staff, maintaining effective relationships with government officials and other stakeholders, and acting as the primary liaison for TR programming. Operational oversight includes managing financial, administrative, and logistical aspects, ensuring compliance with IOM and donor standards, preparing reports, and collaborating with the Program Support Unit for monitoring and evaluation. Risk management and security involve liaising with the IOM Office of Staff Security and implementing measures to mitigate financial, institutional, and programmatic risks. Crosscutting responsibilities include promoting a culture of learning, coordinating small grant initiatives, and performing other assigned duties.
Work Experience
Requires at least 5 years of operational field experience in programme development, implementation, and evaluation (7 years for Bachelor's degree holders). At least 3 years of experience with USAID programming or other large donor-funded programs in rapid transition or post-conflict areas is necessary. Experience managing cooperative agreements and small-grants programming, infrastructure works, procurement, and civil-society strengthening is highly desirable. Experience in DDR/DDRR and CVR within IOM, and managing diverse staff, is also highly desirable.
Skills
