Job Purpose
The WFP Aviation Service is establishing a roster to support short-term assignments for operational needs. This roster will serve as a pool of qualified candidates for various aviation-related functions, including air operations, management, safety, and support services. Successful candidates may be deployed for varying durations to address temporary staffing gaps, potentially including roles such as Chief Air Transport Officers or Aviation Safety Officers. The aim is to enhance workforce planning and ensure continuity of leadership and oversight in critical duty stations. Candidates are invited to express their interest for potential assignments, which could be remote, at Headquarters, or in WFP operational countries, including hardship duty stations, depending on evolving operational requirements.

Candidates should possess relevant experience in aviation operations, management, safety, or support services, with humanitarian aviation experience being an asset. Assignments can be remote, at headquarters, or in field locations, including hardship duty stations. Work Experience
For junior consultancy assignments, less than 1 year to 3 years of postgraduate relevant work experience in Aviation and Air Operations is required. Level 1 assignments need 3 to 5 years, while Level 2 assignments require 5 to 10 years of postgraduate experience in the same field. The assignment level is determined by the complexity of the Terms of Reference, not solely by candidate experience.
