Organizational Context
WFP Haiti faces persistent food security and nutrition challenges, exacerbated by socio-economic and environmental factors. Vulnerable populations lack access to diverse, nutritious food, leading to high malnutrition rates. WFP supports national efforts through targeted interventions, including malnutrition screening, nutritional supplementation, and education, working closely with the Ministry of Public Health and Population and other partners.
Job Purpose
The Consultant National Facilitateur FNG will play a crucial role in WFP Haiti's efforts to address nutritional gaps. This position involves supporting the collection and analysis of vital nutritional, economic, and food data to identify specific nutritional deficiencies across different population groups. The consultant will contribute to developing practical recommendations for improving access to nutritious food and serve as a key liaison for external partners involved in the Fill the Nutrient Gap (FNG) analysis. This includes fostering collaboration with national and international stakeholders, organizing discussion forums, facilitating meetings, and managing multi-stakeholder engagement to ensure the successful completion and validation of the FNG analysis, ultimately informing policies and programs to improve the nutritional status of vulnerable populations in Haiti.

The role of a Consultant – Facilitateur FNG in Haiti involves supporting data collection and analysis related to nutrition, economics, and food, identifying nutritional gaps in various populations, and contributing to practical recommendations for improving access to nutritious food. The consultant will act as a focal point for external partners, collaborate with national and international stakeholders, and organize forums for data discussion. Responsibilities also include facilitating meetings, managing multi-stakeholder engagement, and organizing a validation workshop for the final FNG analysis document, all in close collaboration with WFP headquarters for technical assistance.
Work Experience
Requires a higher university degree in nutrition, public health, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in nutrition, public health, or a related area, gained in academia, government, intergovernmental organizations, or NGOs. Experience managing multi-stakeholder processes and conducting documentary and data analysis is necessary. Prior experience with Haitian government counterparts is preferred. Strong knowledge of Haiti's nutritional landscape, national food security, nutrition, and health programs, as well as social protection, food, and agriculture policies is beneficial. Must be proficient in French and English.
