Job Purpose

The Pasante de Alianzas y Movilización de Recursos will support the WFP's Partnerships Unit in identifying and analyzing potential strategic partners, including corporations, foundations, and business associations. This role involves conducting research on private sector actors, corporate social responsibility trends, and ESG criteria. The intern will contribute to updating databases, mapping allies, and tracking funding opportunities. Key responsibilities include assisting in the preparation of company profiles, concept notes, presentations, and other institutional materials for partner engagement. The position also supports the development of resource mobilization proposals and alliance initiatives, as well as tracking the pipeline of partnerships and funding opportunities to ensure up-to-date information for decision-making. Additionally, the intern will assist in organizing meetings, events, and engagement activities with strategic partners.

Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities involve supporting the identification and analysis of strategic partners, including corporations, foundations, and business associations. This includes conducting research and mapping of private sector actors, as well as staying abreast of trends in corporate social responsibility (CSR), sustainability, and ESG criteria. A key function is contributing to the maintenance and updating of databases, partner maps, and tools for tracking funding opportunities. The role also entails assisting in the preparation of various institutional materials such as company profiles, concept notes, presentations, and fact sheets for partner meetings. Collaboration is essential in preparing proposals and supporting documents for resource mobilization and partnership development initiatives. Furthermore, the position requires supporting the monitoring of the partnership and funding opportunity pipeline, ensuring up-to-date information for decision-making. Assisting in the organization of meetings, events, and engagement activities with strategic partners is also a core duty. Finally, the role supports the creation of reports, analyses, and knowledge products related to partnerships, resource mobilization, and innovation, alongside internal coordination efforts to gather relevant information for proposals and positioning materials.

Work Experience

The role requires a current university student or recent graduate (within 12 months) in fields like International Relations, Business Administration, Economics, Political Science, International Development, Communications, or Marketing. Prior experience through internships, volunteering, student associations, or research projects is valued. Demonstrated interest in international development, strategic partnerships, sustainability, CSR, or resource mobilization is essential. Proficiency in English and skills in research, analysis, presentation preparation, and activity coordination are advantageous.
