Job Purpose
The RAME Assistant will coordinate and execute research, assessment, monitoring, and evaluation activities to support the effective delivery of WFP's assistance packages. This role involves collecting, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets related to food security, nutrition, and social protection. The Assistant will develop data pipelines, ensure data integrity, and create visualizations to communicate findings to stakeholders. They will also train WFP and partner staff on monitoring methods and survey tools, assist in report preparation, document field activities, and support beneficiary targeting processes. The primary objective is to enhance the evidence base for WFP's interventions and ensure efficient and equitable assistance delivery.
Responsibilities
The RAME Assistant role involves coordinating and executing research, assessment, monitoring, and evaluation (RAME) activities to support the effective delivery of assistance packages. Key responsibilities include collecting, cleaning, and preprocessing large datasets related to food security indicators, such as nutrition, food systems, and social protection. The assistant will conduct exploratory data analysis to identify patterns and understand the drivers of food insecurity and vulnerability, focusing on WFP and partner interventions in Ghana. Developing and maintaining data pipelines, ensuring data integrity, quality, and security, and adhering to WFP data policies are crucial. The role also requires creating data visualizations and dashboards for stakeholders, coordinating and conducting trainings for WFP and partner staff on monitoring methods and survey tools, and assisting in report preparation. Additionally, the RAME Assistant will document field data collection, focus group discussions, and survey methodologies, prepare field mission reports, and support beneficiary targeting processes by analyzing vulnerability and eligibility for project participants. The position requires a secondary school education with a post-secondary certificate in a related field, at least five years of progressive work experience in data collection and analysis, familiarity with WFP monitoring systems, and proficiency in statistical analysis tools like STATA, SPSS, and Excel, as well as data visualization tools such as Tableau, Excel, and Power BI. Experience with ODK questionnaire programming is also essential.
Work Experience
The role requires at least 5 years of progressive work experience. This includes experience in collecting and analyzing program output and outcome data (both quantitative and qualitative), reporting findings to stakeholders, and utilizing WFP monitoring and evaluation systems. Proficiency in statistical analysis tools like STATA, SPSS, and Excel, along with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Excel, or Power BI, is essential. Experience with ODK questionnaire programming is also necessary.
