Job Purpose
The Digital Assistance Services (DAS) Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting WFP's operations in Haiti, particularly in managing beneficiary data and facilitating assistance delivery. This position involves ensuring the quality and integrity of beneficiary lists, providing training to partners on data management, and importing this data into WFP's corporate beneficiary management platform, SCOPE. The assistant will also support registration activities, configure field equipment, train enumerators, and manage the printing and verification of beneficiary cards. Furthermore, the role includes enrolling beneficiaries, creating distribution lists for payments, and adding conditionalities for cash-based transfers. The DAS Assistant will also provide technical support for SCOPE and other data management solutions, and maintain related equipment, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of WFP's assistance programs in a challenging environment.
Responsibilities
The Digital Assistance Services (DAS) Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the World Food Programme's (WFP) operations in Haiti, a country facing severe humanitarian crises exacerbated by natural disasters and climate change. This position is vital for ensuring the quality and integrity of beneficiary data, which is fundamental to the effective delivery of food assistance and other support. Key responsibilities include conducting quality control on beneficiary lists provided by implementing partners, offering training to these partners on WFP's data formats and management, and rigorously maintaining data confidentiality throughout the process. The assistant will be responsible for importing beneficiary lists into WFP's corporate beneficiary management platform, SCOPE, and will provide essential support for registration activities, including scheduling, resource mobilization, and investigator identification. Furthermore, the role involves configuring field registration tablets, training and supervising field investigators, and managing the printing and verification of SCOPE cards for beneficiaries. The DAS Assistant also assists in creating distribution lists for beneficiary payments, adding conditionalities for cash-based projects, and providing technical support to other units regarding SCOPE and data management solutions. Maintaining the operational readiness of SCOPE-related equipment is also a key duty.
Work Experience
The role requires a minimum of a bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent. Candidates must have at least 3 years of experience in statistical data/systems management and at least 1 year of experience in database management. Experience in the humanitarian sector or with NGOs is considered an asset.
