Job Purpose
The HR Assistant will provide specialized operational and administrative support to ensure the efficient delivery of HR services within the Country Office. This role is crucial for strengthening and implementing initiatives related to staff well-being, diversity, inclusion, and a culture of respect. The incumbent will support communication activities, data systematization and analysis, material development, data tracking, and the coordination of awareness-raising actions. By enhancing the HR team's operational capacity, this position contributes to the timely execution of the HR work plan, facilitates evidence-based decision-making, and promotes a safe, inclusive, and well-being-oriented work environment, ultimately supporting WFP's institutional objectives in the country.
Responsibilities
The role involves providing specialized operational and administrative support to ensure the efficient delivery of services within the organization. This includes supporting teams, units, or specific areas in country offices, regional bureaus, or headquarters, operating with a significant degree of autonomy and ensuring the correct execution of standard processes. Specifically, this position will offer temporary support to the Human Resources unit to strengthen and implement initiatives related to well-being, diversity, inclusion, and a culture of respect within the Country Office. Responsibilities include supporting communication activities, systematizing and analyzing information, preparing materials, tracking data, and coordinating awareness-raising actions. The assignment aims to enhance the operational capacity of the HR team, contribute to the timely fulfillment of the work plan, facilitate evidence-based decision-making, and promote a safe, inclusive, and well-being-oriented work environment. Key deliverables include managed selection processes, organized HR documents, updated HR systems and records, coordinated administrative actions, supported onboarding activities, tracked contracts and deadlines, facilitated HR orientation sessions, documented organizational culture initiatives, and prepared HR activity reports.
Work Experience
The role requires at least 5 years of experience in managing and applying HR policies and procedures. This includes experience in specific HR service activities such as recruitment, hiring, and personnel administration. Additionally, experience in guiding less experienced staff, organizing onboarding sessions, and supporting organizational strengthening initiatives is necessary. Strong communication, information systematization, attention to detail, and precision are also key skills, along with proficiency in Office Suite and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively.
