Job Purpose
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will be instrumental in enhancing WFP's end-to-end quality assurance for the Individual Giving (IG) technology ecosystem. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and safety of changes across platforms like GoDonate, Salesforce, and payment systems, validating them against acceptance and risk criteria. The incumbent will establish cross-platform testing standards, lead regression and integration testing, and drive systemic defect analysis. By filling a capability gap in the current QA function, this position will ensure comprehensive validation of supporter, operational, and reporting flows. The Senior QA Engineer will collaborate closely with technical and product teams to ensure coherent, sustainable delivery within the Strategic Delivery Hub's framework, acting as an independent quality authority to uphold high standards and minimize risks in a complex, scaled fundraising environment.
Responsibilities
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer – Systems & Integrations role at the World Food Programme (WFP) is crucial for ensuring the reliability and safety of the Individual Giving (IG) technology ecosystem. This position involves developing and implementing system-level QA standards across various platforms, including donation processing, CRM systems, marketing tools, payment gateways, and data flows. The engineer will define what constitutes a "safe to release" status for multi-platform changes, establish cross-system regression testing strategies, and lead end-to-end validation for complex donation lifecycles. A key responsibility is to partner with integration and data engineers to verify the integrity of data pipelines and APIs, ensuring that changes in one system do not negatively impact others. The role also includes designing and executing test suites, producing traceable test evidence for release readiness, and conducting root-cause analysis for multi-system defects. Furthermore, the Senior QA Engineer will mentor junior QA staff, uplift overall QA capabilities, and embed best practices across teams and vendor partners. This position acts as an independent quality authority, identifying systemic risks and providing evidence-based recommendations to the Strategic Delivery Hub to ensure high-quality, low-risk changes that support WFP's fundraising efforts and its mission to combat hunger.
