Job Purpose
The IT Operations Associate will be responsible for coordinating and guiding Information Technology maintenance and support activities to ensure the effective delivery of IT services across various locations in Pakistan. This role involves performing system and hardware maintenance, monitoring technology reliability, and analyzing data to recommend IT solutions. The Associate will resolve user queries, provide technical training, and support the implementation of new applications. Additionally, they will contribute to drafting documentation, improving IT processes, and coordinating telecommunications systems. This position also involves guiding junior colleagues and potentially coordinating IT staff to meet objectives, ensuring compliance with regulations and policies, and supporting emergency response processes.
Responsibilities
The IT Operations Associate is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of IT services through comprehensive system and hardware maintenance, including specialized network monitoring and system protection. This role involves monitoring technology reliability, analyzing user needs, and generating reports to recommend IT solutions that support informed decision-making. Key duties include independently resolving IT queries, escalating issues when necessary, and providing accurate information to staff. The associate will also deliver technical training to end-users, guide junior colleagues, and support the implementation of new applications. Furthermore, they are tasked with drafting essential IT documentation, improving internal IT processes, and coordinating the installation and maintenance of telecommunications systems. A significant aspect of the role involves coordinating IT staff to meet objectives and adhering to regulations. Finally, the associate must follow emergency response procedures to ensure IT support for critical operations, such as emergency food assistance needs.
Work Experience
Requires 6 years of progressive work experience in the relevant field, including administrative work with international organizations. Experience in analyzing service management results, developing enhancement recommendations, participating in business process re-engineering, and contributing to country office procurement/budgeting processes is also necessary.
