This initiative partners with municipalities and civil society organizations to enhance gender equality in local governance, promote women's decision-making, and create safer, more inclusive urban environments. Effective communication is crucial for showcasing programme activities, results, and impact.

Job Purpose

The Communications Assistant will support the communication and visibility efforts of the Women-Friendly Cities (WFC) Programme in Türkiye. This role is essential for documenting and disseminating the programme's activities, achievements, and impact at both local and national levels, ensuring compliance with EU and UNFPA visibility standards. The assistant will focus on graphic design, photography, video production, digital content creation, social media, website management, and activity documentation. By working closely with the WFC Programme Team and UNFPA Communications Team, the role aims to significantly enhance the visibility of programme results, municipal contributions, and the partnership between the EU and UNFPA.

This includes ensuring consistent messaging across WFC, UNFPA Türkiye, regional, and global communications. The role involves coordinating with programme teams, municipalities, and civil society partners. Key duties include developing and producing high-quality communication materials (print, digital, audiovisual), managing and updating the WFC website and online content, and creating social media content. The assistant will also support communication campaigns, document best practices and human impact stories, and assist with event organization and field missions for content collection.
