Organizational Context
UN Women is the UN organization dedicated to gender equality and the empowerment of women. It supports UN Member States in establishing international norms for gender equality and collaborates with governments and civil society to implement laws, policies, and programs. In Ecuador, structural gender gaps limit women's full participation in the labor market and decision-making spaces. UN Women partners with the private sector to promote gender equality and has identified the need to measure the implementation of the Women's Empowerment Principles (WEPs) with a selected company.
Job Purpose
This role will lead the methodological and academic strengthening of the "Líderes Pichincha, Diversos e Inclusivos" (Pichincha Leaders, Diverse and Inclusive) Trainer Training Program. The objective is to ensure the technical quality, pedagogical coherence, and sustainability of the program by reviewing, standardizing, and developing training content, creating a methodological guide for facilitators, and providing technical support for module implementation. The assignment aims to enhance the company's institutional management in gender equality and family co-responsibility, contributing to the broader UN Women mission of promoting gender equality and women's empowerment.
Responsibilities
Under the supervision of the UN Women Programme Specialist, the volunteer will: 1. **Methodological Review and Standardization:** Conduct a comprehensive review of existing program materials and guides for three modules. Standardize content methodology, develop common criteria for session delivery, and revise pedagogical and evaluation tools. 2. **Facilitator Methodological Guide Development:** Design the program's methodological guide, develop facilitation guidelines, create session-specific methodological sheets, incorporate participatory methodologies and practical tools, and integrate evaluation and monitoring instruments. 3. **Technical and Academic Coordination:** Provide technical coordination with module teams, monitor the execution of four modules, offer methodological support during program delivery, consolidate feedback for improvements, and prepare final reports including participant learning levels. 4. **Trainer of Trainers Module Development and Implementation:** Design the technical content for the "Trainer of Trainers" module, prepare didactic materials, facilitate the module, apply evaluation instruments, and develop recommendations for future program editions.
Work Experience
Requires seven years of relevant experience, including at least five years in designing, developing, and implementing adult training processes, curriculum and methodology development, training of trainers (ToT), academic coordination of training programs, or institutional capacity building. Experience in gender equality, diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI), co-responsibility, and gender-based violence prevention is highly valued. Previous experience in the private sector is desirable.
