UNDSS ensures trusted security leadership and solutions across UN operations globally.
Job Purpose
This assignment seeks Online Volunteers to translate and proofread updated First Responder Course (IFAK 2.1) training materials from English into Ukrainian. Volunteers must ensure content is clear for a UN audience, maintain original formatting where possible, and consult with the UNDSS team for clarifications. One volunteer will focus on initial translation, the other on proofreading and quality assurance, with coordination as needed.
Work Experience
Excellent written proficiency in Ukrainian (native language) and strong command of English is required. Previous experience in translation and/or proofreading is highly desirable. Experience with technical materials (training, medical, first aid, emergency response, humanitarian, security) and familiarity with UN terminology are advantageous.
Skills
Key skills include excellent written Ukrainian and English proficiency, attention to detail, accuracy, consistency in terminology, and the ability to work collaboratively and meet deadlines. Familiarity with UN terminology and experience with multilingual training materials are beneficial.
