Job Purpose
This role provides crucial technical support for the World AMR Awareness Week (WAAW) 2026 campaign in Mongolia, focusing on communications and media content development. The objective is to ensure timely, coordinated, and high-quality delivery of the WAAW media and visibility package. This involves close collaboration with WHO Mongolia's AMR and Communications teams to develop and implement a comprehensive media strategy. The position will contribute to increasing awareness and understanding of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) by translating campaign themes and pledges into actionable content for various audiences, supporting national advocacy, and engaging health institutions and the wider community.
Responsibilities
The UN Community Volunteer will support the development and implementation of a production plan and content calendar for the WAAW 2026 communications package. Key duties include producing a "Stewards for the Future" interview video, developing a high-level WAAW media feature with senior representatives, and designing visual campaign materials like e-banners and pledge materials. The role involves adapting approved communication products for various platforms, including social media, websites, and electronic displays, and coordinating with external media vendors. Responsibilities also include providing multimedia support for campaign launches, revising and finalizing all communication products, and preparing organized handover packages with final files and raw footage. The volunteer will also perform other related communication and campaign support duties as assigned.
Work Experience
Requires 3 years of relevant experience in communications, journalism, multimedia production, videography, photography, or graphic design. Demonstrated experience in producing and editing video and social media content for public campaigns is essential. Proficiency in relevant design and editing software, strong planning and time-management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively are necessary. Fluency in Mongolian and working knowledge of English are required. Experience in public health or UN/NGO communications is desirable.
