Organizational Context

The UNDP Tunisia Country Office supports national development objectives aligned with Agenda 2030 and the Paris Agreement. It focuses on inclusive growth, climate action, and strengthening inclusive political processes. The office works with diverse partners including the government, donors, civil society, and the UN system. UNDP Tunisia plays a key role in advancing Sustainable Development Goals and supporting climate action commitments. This specific volunteer assignment is supported by the Swiss Embassy in Tunisia, aiming to enhance youth inclusion, particularly for young people with disabilities.

Job Purpose

This role supports the implementation of the GLDSE portfolio by fostering a continuous learning approach, ensuring flexibility and adaptation in interventions. The objective is to enhance coherence, effectiveness, impact, and sustainability of results through field experiences. The Assistant will coordinate and monitor learning activities, documentation, communication, and results valorization. Key contributions include analyzing and structuring lessons learned, integrating them into implementation processes, and disseminating them to stakeholders. The position plays a transversal support role to the initiatives within Effect 4, contributing to the overall success and knowledge management of the portfolio. This assignment is part of a partnership to promote youth inclusion.

Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Portfolio Coordination and Planning Specialist, the UN Volunteer will support the following activities: Knowledge Management and Learning Support: Contribute to strengthening tools and methods for learning, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement within the portfolio. Participate in collecting, organizing, and updating internal databases and repositories, including lessons learned, case studies, best practices, initiatives, and other resources. Content Production and Communication Support: Assist in preparing notes, reports, presentations, and other documents related to portfolio activities. Support the formatting of deliverables to enhance visual quality, readability, and impact, including the design of simple graphic materials. Portfolio Activity Coordination Support: Participate in the preparation, logistical organization, and smooth running of workshops, meetings, events, and other collaborative spaces. Contribute to monitoring activities and coordinating with various stakeholders involved in portfolio initiatives.

Work Experience

Requires 1 month of relevant experience. Experience in designing and developing learning experiences, project management, and proficiency with digital tools (Ms Office, Canvas, Miro/Mural) are essential. Fluency in French and Arabic (oral and written) with working knowledge of English is required. The role also values strong planning, organization, problem-solving, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
