Job Purpose
This role is crucial for the UNCTAD ASYCUDA project in Liberia, specifically for the implementation of the new generation of ASYCUDA at the Liberia Revenue Authority (LRA). The primary purpose is to ensure the timely and secure transportation of the ASYCUDA project team within Monrovia. The driver will be responsible for all professional transportation needs of the team, contributing directly to the project's operational efficiency and the successful execution of its objectives in modernizing customs management systems.
Responsibilities
The primary responsibility is to provide safe and reliable transportation for United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Automated System for Customs Data (ASYCUDA) personnel in Monrovia. This includes ensuring the team reaches their destinations punctually and securely throughout the duration of the ASYCUDA project in Liberia. The role requires adherence to all driving regulations and maintaining the vehicle in good working order to support the project's daily operational requirements and the smooth execution of its tasks.
Work Experience
A minimum of 3 years of professional driving experience is required, preferably with international organizations. Candidates must possess a safe driving record, knowledge of traffic laws and regulations, and basic vehicle repair skills. Experience with protocol and customs issues is also desirable.
