Organizational Context

Its Argentinian chapter, launched in 2022, actively engages companies and organizations to promote inclusive communication. Building on past successes, including the LATAM Summit in 2025, the chapter is organizing another regional summit in October 2026 in Buenos Aires to foster strategic alliances and promote stereotype-free narratives.

Job Purpose

This role supports the Unstereotype Alliance Summit LATAM 2026 by providing virtual simultaneous interpretation from Spanish to Argentinian Sign Language (LSA). The objective is to ensure full accessibility of the event's content and discussions for deaf attendees who use LSA, fostering an inclusive environment and their complete participation. The interpretation will cover the main event, which is expected to last approximately four hours and will be live-streamed, contributing to the summit's goal of promoting inclusive communications and combating harmful stereotypes.

Responsibilities

Provide virtual simultaneous interpretation from Spanish to Argentinian Sign Language (LSA) during the main session of the Unstereotype Alliance Summit LATAM 2026. Participate in one to two virtual coordination meetings prior to the event to discuss work dynamics, panel distribution, and other preparation aspects. Rotate interpretation duties with other volunteers across different event panels to ensure continuous accessibility. Interpret a variety of content and spontaneous interventions during the live-streamed event. Adapt to potential changes in agenda, content, or event dynamics. Collaborate effectively with fellow interpreters, respecting agreed-upon turn-taking schedules.

Work Experience

Requires proven professional experience in simultaneous interpretation from Spanish to Argentinian Sign Language (LSA). Experience in live events, conferences, or broadcasts, preferably in a virtual format, is also necessary. Ability to interpret varied content and spontaneous interventions fluently and accurately is essential.
