Job Purpose
This assignment aims to systematically map, consolidate, and organize data related to stakeholders, services, initiatives, and geographic locations within a selected thematic area. The primary goal is to identify existing resources, coverage gaps, priority populations, and potential partnerships to improve coordination. The resulting data map will be crucial for evidence-based planning, program design, advocacy, resource mobilization, and monitoring interventions. It will enhance the organization's capacity for data-driven decision-making and strengthen coordination with relevant actors, ultimately supporting progress towards the Sustainable Development Goals by improving the availability and use of disaggregated, location-based information for targeted interventions.
Responsibilities
The Online Volunteer will support the mapping of programme data under the supervision of the Programme Coordinator. Key responsibilities include discussing and defining the objectives and data sources for the data mapping task. The volunteer will develop or identify appropriate methodologies and tools for data analysis, preparation, and mapping. This involves conducting data profiling on selected sources, screening them for relevant information, and then mapping the data using the established tools. The role requires a systematic approach to data organization and analysis to contribute to the foundation's strategic planning and operational effectiveness.
Work Experience
Previous experience in data mapping is required. Candidates must be skilled in using standard methodologies for data analysis. Experience with geospatial data and its application in development contexts is highly desirable for effectively contributing to the mapping exercise and its analytical outputs.

Proficiency in data mapping and data analysis methodologies is essential. The role requires strong analytical skills, the ability to work with datasets, and competence in using relevant tools for data preparation and mapping.
