Create Animated Arabic E-Learning Content on Human Rights
Organizational Context
The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) works globally to protect human rights, empower individuals, and assist duty-bearers in upholding these rights. Operationally, OHCHR collaborates with various entities to build capacity for human rights protection. In the Occupied Palestinian Territory, OHCHR focuses on capacity-building for duty-bearers and rights-holders through training and technical assistance, including developing an online e-learning platform.
Job Purpose
This role supports OHCHR's capacity-building efforts in the Occupied Palestinian Territory by developing engaging Arabic e-learning content on human rights. The volunteer will transform existing course material into interactive graphic animations, including text-to-speech voiceovers and captions. The aim is to enhance the delivery of human rights education to professional audiences through OHCHR's online platform, contributing to the realization of human rights and strengthening institutional knowledge in the region. The final content will be in Arabic.
Responsibilities
The Online UN Volunteer will develop fifteen short animated slides or segments per course for three distinct human rights courses, strictly adhering to approved OHCHR content. Responsibilities include producing three Arabic text-to-speech voiceovers using AI tools for narrated course segments. Additionally, the volunteer will create nine simple graphic animations and visual elements to effectively illustrate key human rights concepts and messages, with three animations allocated per course. All work will be completed under the direct supervision of a Human Rights Officer.
Work Experience
Required experience includes creating short animations and graphic content. Familiarity with international human rights standards is desirable. Experience and knowledge of working with AI tools and agents are also required, with certification being an asset. Knowledge of Excel is also a requirement.
Skills
Proficiency in creating short animations and graphic content is essential. The role requires fluency in Arabic and working knowledge of English. Experience with AI tools for animation and graphic design is necessary. Familiarity with international human rights standards is beneficial. Knowledge of Excel is also a required skill.
