Organizational Context
The Ibero-American Program for the Strengthening of South-South Cooperation (PIFCSS) is an intergovernmental initiative promoting South-South and Triangular Cooperation in Latin America, aligned with Sustainable Development Goals. It fosters horizontal cooperation among countries, sharing experiences and building consensus. PIFCSS strengthens institutional capacities and networking, with a strategy focused on development results and gender mainstreaming. The RizomaSur Virtual Cycles are a PIFCSS platform for virtual exchange and learning in South-South Cooperation, launched in June 2026.
Job Purpose
The volunteer will support the RizomaSur Virtual Cycles by systematizing virtual events. This involves creating documents that capture and disseminate key content, reflections, and learnings from each session. These materials will complement audiovisual recordings, making information accessible to interested parties and promoting the exchange of knowledge on South-South cooperation and territorial development. The role aims to facilitate access to information, strengthen capacities, update knowledge, and identify cooperation opportunities within the framework of the PIFCSS Strategy 2024-2030, focusing on peer exchange, innovation, and opportunity sharing.
Responsibilities
The volunteer will be responsible for systematizing the RizomaSur Virtual Cycles by developing documents that capture, organize, and disseminate key content, reflections, and learnings from each virtual meeting. This includes participating in or reviewing recordings of virtual sessions, identifying main concepts, experiences, and debates, and elaborating clear, concise, and accessible systematization documents. The volunteer will organize information into agreed formats, such as executive summaries, key ideas, and references, and coordinate with the PIFCSS Technical Unit for review and validation. Final tasks involve incorporating editorial adjustments for publication and dissemination alongside audiovisual materials.
Work Experience
Interest in South-South cooperation, territorial development, public policies, and experience-sharing processes is required. Experience in writing outreach materials and knowledge products, with the ability to transform technical information into accessible content, is necessary. Familiarity with basic digital tools for collaboration and document creation is expected. Experience with data visualization tools is a plus.
Skills
Key skills include listening, analysis, and synthesis abilities. Strong writing and information organization skills are essential. Proficiency in basic digital tools for collaborative work and document creation is required. Desirable skills include knowledge of international development cooperation, the Ibero-American space, and South-South and Triangular Cooperation, as well as experience with data visualization tools for content dissemination on social media.
