Job Purpose
This role supports UNICEF's mission in Ecuador by engaging in face-to-face fundraising activities. The Social Champion Facer I will interact with the public to encourage recurring financial contributions towards UNICEF's child-focused programs. The objective is to build a base of committed donors who understand and support UNICEF's work. This position is crucial for securing the funding necessary to implement UNICEF's strategies for child protection, health, social inclusion, and education, ultimately contributing to a society where every child can grow healthy, access quality education, and thrive.
Responsibilities
The Social Champion Facer I is responsible for direct fundraising through face-to-face interactions, aiming to recruit an average of 15 recurring donors per month. This involves collecting complete and accurate donor information to facilitate future communications and ensuring a positive donor experience to foster long-term commitment. Maintaining UNICEF's image is paramount; volunteers must conduct themselves according to UN values, use authorized materials correctly, and share only verified information. Continuous learning is expected through active participation in training and receptiveness to feedback. Adherence to the UN Volunteer Code of Conduct, operational guidelines, and reporting requirements is mandatory. Performance will be evaluated based on donor acquisition targets, data accuracy, and adherence to ethical standards, with potential for performance-based contract extensions.
Work Experience
A minimum of 1 month of experience is required. Desired attributes include enjoyment of interacting with diverse people, motivation for social causes (especially child welfare), teamwork skills, emotional management, a positive attitude, and openness to learning and feedback.
