Job Purpose
The Programme and Supply Chain Coordinator will be based in El-Fulah, West Kordofan, Sudan, to provide crucial regional oversight for UNDP's health programs, specifically focusing on TB, HIV, and malaria. This role is vital for ensuring the effective coordination, implementation, monitoring, and delivery of these essential services in a challenging environment where conflict has severely disrupted health systems. The coordinator will work to strengthen oversight, facilitate program reviews, monitor performance, and ensure the uninterrupted supply of critical commodities, thereby contributing to the resilience of health services in the Kordofan region.
Responsibilities
The Programme and Supply Chain Coordinator will oversee TB, HIV, and Malaria programs across Kordofan states, ensuring alignment with national strategies. Key duties include participating in coordination platforms, conducting field supervision visits, and monitoring implementing partners. The role involves ensuring effective program monitoring, evaluation, and reporting, including data quality assurance and training support. Additionally, the coordinator will lead end-to-end supply chain management for essential commodities, coordinating planning, logistics, and last-mile distribution. This includes overseeing inventory, ensuring timely delivery, and maintaining updated records of facility status. The position also requires collaboration with national entities like NMSF and FMoH to strengthen supply chain systems and reporting, while identifying and escalating supply chain risks.
Work Experience
A minimum of five years of progressive experience in programme management, supply chain management, operations, or monitoring and evaluation is required. Experience working in conflict-affected areas, with diverse stakeholders (government, NGOs, UN entities), and a strong knowledge of sub-national health program implementation are essential. Experience with public health sectors or national disease programs is an asset. Field experience in the Kordofan region and strong report writing skills are also necessary.
