ICT Analyst
Organizational Context
The UNOPS Global Portfolios Office (GPO) supports UN strategic priorities and Sustainable Development Goals across over 130 countries. It collaborates with governments, financial institutions, and UN agencies on project management, fund management, and HR support. This role specifically supports the UN Development Coordination Office (DCO) by implementing defined activities, enhancing data management and analysis within the UN INFO system.
Job Purpose
The ICT Analyst will support the Data, Digital and Innovation team in developing, maintaining, and improving digital products, data services, and analytical tools. The role focuses on low-code and coded solution development, workflow automation, data preparation, integration, reporting, visualization, geospatial analysis, and applied AI prototypes. The incumbent will translate business requirements into functional solutions, manage data, create dashboards and reports, and test changes. This position does not involve complex software architecture or infrastructure ownership, but contributes to AI-enabled tools and information analysis workflows under the guidance of senior team members.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include configuring and developing low-code applications, analytical tools, and workflow automations, applying reusable development patterns and version control. The role involves collecting, cleaning, transforming, and organizing data for reporting and analysis, supporting ETL processes and data pipelines. The ICT Analyst will produce clear analyses, dashboards, and visualizations, and contribute to UNINFO data analysis and API-led data integration. Responsibilities also include mapping business processes, supporting testing and quality assurance, investigating and resolving technical issues, maintaining documentation, and participating in agile team activities. Additionally, the role supports the design and testing of AI-enabled tools and information analysis workflows.
Work Experience
Required experience includes data analysis, reporting, business process automation, or digital solutions development. Proficiency with at least one low-code or data analytics platform (e.g., Power BI, Power Apps) and experience in data preparation, cleaning, validation, and analysis are essential. Desired experience includes Power BI dashboard creation, Power Apps/Automate development, SQL, Python, Git, requirements gathering, and agile methodologies.
