Job Purpose

The Communications Assistant - Brand and Design role is crucial for maintaining UNOPS' reputation for transparency and efficiency through consistent visual communication. This position requires a versatile individual focused on visual communication and institutional coherence, adept at applying international brand guidelines within a local context. The core purpose is to ensure all visual materials, from brochures to billboards, strictly adhere to UNOPS' branding standards, including colors, typography, and logos. The role demands adaptability to design pieces suitable for diverse settings, from corporate offices to rural project sites, while upholding professionalism and ensuring brand consistency across all outputs.

Responsibilities

Under the Senior Partnerships Officer's supervision, the Communications Assistant supports the production of graphic and audiovisual materials, strictly adhering to UNOPS' brand guidelines. This includes creating and diagramming various materials such as campaigns, informational content, official documents, and newsletters for UNOPS offices in Honduras, El Salvador, and Nicaragua. Responsibilities extend to preparing materials for printing, coordinating with suppliers, and adapting graphic formats for diverse audiences. The role also involves quality control of all produced items, troubleshooting audiovisual communication issues creatively, and supporting pre- and post-production of corporate, institutional, and testimonial videos. Additionally, the assistant will develop 2D animated video capsules, adapt materials for digital platforms and social media, and assist in scheduling and disseminating finalized products.

Work Experience

A minimum of four years of relevant experience in graphic design and/or audiovisual communication is required. Experience in audiovisual production for external, internal, and social media communication, along with proficiency in Adobe Premiere or similar software, is essential. Experience in graphic design and producing 2D animated videos is desirable. A portfolio of work is required for consideration.
