Organizational Context
The Asia Pacific Regional Office oversees UNOPS operations across 17 countries, focusing on strategic leadership and operational excellence. The Myanmar Country Office is a key office in the region, managing significant development programs and serving as the Principal Recipient for the Global Fund. UNOPS Myanmar provides essential procurement, infrastructure, and project management services to various partners, ensuring high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective delivery.
Job Purpose
This role provides dedicated graphic design capacity to support the internal and external communications activities of UNOPS programs and funds in Myanmar. The Graphic Designer will be instrumental in developing and implementing communication strategies, ensuring all materials align with current best practices and organizational graphic guidelines. The position aims to enhance the visual representation of projects and initiatives, producing clear, concise, and impactful materials for diverse audiences across print, digital, and web platforms, ultimately contributing to the effective communication of project objectives and achievements.
Responsibilities
The Graphic Designer is responsible for ensuring all publications, reports, and products adhere to current communications practices and graphic guidelines. This includes designing and laying out various materials such as reports, banners, posters, booklets, and digital content for print and web. The role involves developing creative and innovative ideas for presentations, maps, photos, videos, and other graphic elements. Additionally, the designer will produce clear, concise materials that convey key messages effectively, ensuring accessibility and digital usability for target audiences. Collaboration with printing agencies to guarantee high-quality output and adherence to brand guidelines are also key duties.
Work Experience
Required experience includes graphic design, visual communication, or multimedia production, with excellent command of Adobe CC suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and proficiency in office software packages like Google Workspace. Experience designing for UN agencies or NGOs, or in a creative marketing/advertising company, is advantageous.
