Job Purpose
The Project Trainee will support the project team in reviewing designs and monitoring construction, ensuring projects meet high-quality standards. This role involves assisting in the application of technical design and construction management best practices under technical supervision, adhering to Health, Safety, Social, and Environmental (HSSE) standards and Protection against Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Harassment (PSEAH) requirements. The trainee is expected to develop technical knowledge, organizational skills, and a collaborative attitude, contributing to project integrity, transparency, and stakeholder coordination.
Responsibilities
Under close guidance from the Project Manager and technical team, the trainee will support the development, preparation, coordination, and review of urban, architectural, and complementary project plans. Responsibilities include assisting in drafting and reviewing terms of reference, descriptive reports, specifications, tender documents, and technical manuals. The role involves supporting all stages of project and/or construction tender processes, identifying and recommending technical solutions through reports and studies, and ensuring project quality and environmental conditions. The trainee will also assist in organizing project administrative routines, such as schedules and meetings, and accompany engineering inspections during project development and construction.
Work Experience
Desirable experience in architecture, engineering, or engineering projects. Experience in humanitarian or development contexts is also preferred.
