Job Purpose

The HR Associate (Recruitment and System Support) is crucial for ensuring the effective and efficient execution of global recruitment processes within UNOPS. This role provides essential operational and advisory support to HR practitioners worldwide, focusing on managing the entire recruitment lifecycle from sourcing to onboarding. By facilitating smooth recruitment operations and ensuring adherence to organizational policies and best practices, the associate directly contributes to timely talent acquisition. Furthermore, the role plays a key part in supporting and driving the adoption of the new Talent+ recruitment and onboarding system, ensuring HR practitioners can effectively leverage its capabilities for consistent process application and data integrity, ultimately enhancing the organization's capacity to attract and retain talent.

Responsibilities

Manage global talent acquisition processes by partnering with HR practitioners and hiring managers to ensure efficient and compliant recruitment lifecycles. Proactively facilitate, monitor, and drive recruitment processes, identifying and resolving issues to ensure timely talent acquisition. Provide guidance on recruitment policies and best practices, supporting the mainstreaming of HR policy changes and ensuring effective communication and implementation within the HR community. Provide first-level support and troubleshooting for the Talent+ recruitment and onboarding system to global HR practitioners, offering hands-on guidance and insights to maximize system utilization and adoption. Organize and deliver training sessions on system functionalities and HR processes. Maintain centralized system features to ensure data integrity and efficiency, acting as a key resource for talent acquisition system expertise. Offer hands-on operational support for critical recruitment activities, including candidate checks (e.g., background verification). Contribute to accurate system data capture and analysis by monitoring usage and promoting proper data entry. Support the communication of HR policy changes and new initiatives, providing necessary guidance. Build capacity with HR practitioners globally on efficient talent acquisition procedures and system utilization.

Work Experience

Requires relevant experience in Human Resource Management and proficiency with collaboration tools (e.g., MS Office, G-Suite) and web-based management systems. Experience in multicultural environments, UN system organizations, or in development/humanitarian contexts is desirable.
