Job Purpose

This consultancy aims to bolster UNICEF and its government partners in enhancing sanitation financing within Nepal. The role involves a comprehensive assessment of existing financing opportunities and identifying barriers to investment. A key objective is to pinpoint sustainable financing mechanisms and forge strategic partnerships to mobilize and scale investments across the entire sanitation service chain. Stakeholder consultations with provincial and local governments, municipal officials, communities, implementing partners, development partners, financial institutions, and the private sector will be crucial. The consultant will also contribute to the development of analytical reports, policy briefs, and presentations, ensuring effective communication of findings and recommendations to all relevant parties, and supporting the overall goals of the National Sanitation Flagship Programme and CWIS approach.
