Organizational Context

UNICEF works in some of the world's toughest places to reach the world's most disadvantaged children. To save their lives. To defend their rights. To help them fulfill their potential. Across 190 countries and territories, we work for every child, everywhere, every day, to build a better world for everyone. We work for every child with Hope!

Job Purpose

The consultancy aims to provide technical assistance within the framework of the "Municipio Amigo de la Niñez" (MAN) program to municipal autonomous governments enrolled in the MAN program for silver and gold certification. This involves supporting municipalities with full MAN program certification to update their Municipal Plans for Children and Adolescents (PMNA), developing methodological tools, and monitoring these updates. The consultant will also identify, promote, and accompany new municipal autonomous governments in the silver certification process. Coordination with the Bolivian Federation of Municipalities (FAM Bolivia), AMDEs, and other relevant actors is crucial for implementing program-related activities. The role includes designing and organizing virtual spaces for experience sharing among municipalities to highlight best practices, municipal regulations, public policies, and successful initiatives for children and adolescents. Furthermore, the consultant will systematize relevant municipal experiences, generate knowledge management products, and support the planning and coordination of a national event recognizing certified municipalities and launching a new phase of the MAN program.
