It offers diverse opportunities for professional and personal development, reinforcing a sense of purpose while serving children and communities worldwide.

Job Purpose

This assignment seeks a Lead (Pb) Measurement Expert Consultant to significantly support the UNICEF Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bangkok. The primary objective is to facilitate the robust development and effective implementation of household surveys specifically designed to assess lead exposure. This role is critical in advancing UNICEF's commitment to ensuring every child's right to safety, particularly by addressing environmental health hazards like lead. The consultant will provide specialized technical expertise to ensure that survey methodologies are scientifically sound, data collection tools are standardized, and the overall process yields accurate and reliable information on lead prevalence. During the implementation phase, the consultant will support the execution of these surveys, potentially overseeing aspects of data collection, and will be crucial in the analysis and interpretation of the collected lead exposure data. This includes contributing to technical reports and translating complex findings into actionable insights for UNICEF and its partners. The consultant will also play a role in building the capacity of local teams in advanced lead measurement techniques and data management, fostering sustainable expertise within the regions. Collaboration with various stakeholders to integrate survey findings into broader public health initiatives will also be a key aspect of this consultancy.
