Individual National Consultancy: Long-Term Agreement for Professional Photography Services

Job Purpose
The purpose of this consultancy is to provide high-quality, ethically produced photography services to document UNICEF-supported programmes and their impact on children in Viet Nam. This includes capturing visual assets for communication, fundraising, and reporting, adhering to UNICEF's ethical and visual guidelines. The consultant will be responsible for producing complete photography packages, providing high-resolution, captioned, and ethically collected imagery. In addition, the capacity to provide short-form video snippets during rapid-response missions or emergencies will be an asset, enhancing the visual storytelling capabilities for UNICEF's advocacy and programme documentation efforts.
Responsibilities
The consultant will be responsible for attending mission briefings and mobilizing on short notice to capture high-quality RAW + JPEG images (24–36 MP) of UNICEF programmes and events. This includes traveling to remote areas and operating a drone when required. A critical aspect of the role is ensuring strict compliance with UNICEF's child safeguarding policies and obtaining necessary consent from individuals, especially children. The consultant must provide edited images with complete metadata and captions in English. They will also be expected to provide short-form video snippets when requested, particularly during emergency situations or rapid-response missions. The consultant must maintain full confidentiality in all aspects of the assignment, manage information effectively, and adhere to deadlines and commitments, ensuring the efficient and effective provision of services throughout the consultancy period.
Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years of professional photography experience, with a portfolio showcasing work in development or humanitarian contexts. Experience with UNICEF's visual and ethical guidelines, including child safeguarding and consent procedures, is highly desirable. Experience in remote travel and drone operation is also beneficial.
