Job Purpose
Under the supervision and guidance of the supervisor, the Programme Associate provides specialized programme and administrative support to facilitate the development, implementation and monitoring of UNICEF's programmes. The role involves substantial engagement in data analysis, budget tracking, reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective delivery and compliance with organizational rules. The incumbent exercises judgment, anticipates needs, and recommends actions that contribute to programme planning, implementation, and reporting results. This position supports the Child Protection sector, particularly justice for children partners, bridging operational delivery by liaising with Programme, Operations, Finance, and Supply units, as well as external partners.
Responsibilities
The Programme Associate will be responsible for Project Management and Implementing Partnership Coordination, ensuring effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. They will manage Data Management, Analysis & Reporting, providing insights for programme improvement. Grant Management, Budget Monitoring and Reporting will be key, ensuring financial compliance and accurate reporting to donors. The role also involves Digital Innovation & Operational Efficiency, seeking ways to improve processes. Communication, Knowledge Sharing and Dissemination will be crucial for sharing best practices and programme outcomes. Capacity Building & Event Coordination will support partner development and knowledge exchange. Finally, the incumbent will provide Flexibility & Surge Support as needed within the Child Protection section.
Work Experience
At least 6 years of relevant work experience in child protection, access to justice, program management, grant management, budget monitoring, donor reporting, and partnership management.
