Job Purpose
The consultant will conduct an independent, end-to-end assessment of the Service Bundle Pricing Tool used by the Supply Division Cold Chain Team. The primary objective is to provide actionable recommendations to enhance the tool's analytical robustness, governance, and control of the environment. Additionally, the assessment will focus on improving its operational usability and strategic relevance for future procurement decision-making processes. This consultancy aims to ensure the tool effectively supports UNICEF's procurement strategies for critical equipment, contributing to the efficient and effective delivery of services for children worldwide.
Responsibilities
Conduct a comprehensive review of the existing Service Bundle Pricing Tool, evaluating its methodology, data inputs, and outputs. Assess the tool's current effectiveness in supporting procurement decisions for refrigerators and freezers installations. Identify strengths and weaknesses in its analytical capabilities, governance framework, and operational usability. Develop and propose specific, actionable recommendations for enhancing the tool's accuracy, reliability, and user-friendliness. Provide guidance on best practices for service contracting and pricing, particularly for strategic commodities in low-resource settings. Prepare a detailed report outlining the findings of the assessment and the proposed recommendations. Present the findings and recommendations to relevant UNICEF stakeholders. Ensure the recommendations align with UNICEF's procurement policies and strategic objectives.
Work Experience
At least 5 years in Consulting on Service Contracting and Pricing for strategic commodities. Experience in the public sector, UN/UNICEF is an asset.
