Join our team as a Nutrition Officer and contribute to improving the nutritional well-being of children, women, and vulnerable populations across Sri Lanka. The position provides professional technical, operational and administrative assistance throughout the programming process for the nutrition programmes/projects within the Country Programme, from development planning to delivery of results.
Responsibilities
The incumbent implements a variety of technical and administrative programme tasks to facilitate programme development, implementation, programme progress monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of results. This includes supporting programme development and planning, providing technical and administrative support to the nutrition programme, assisting in the development of nutrition programme proposals and ensuring alignment with UNICEF's strategic goals and national priorities. The role involves monitoring and reporting on programme implementation, identifying challenges and recommending adjustments, and contributing to the evaluation of programme effectiveness. Additionally, the Nutrition Officer will support resource mobilization efforts, build partnerships with government counterparts, NGOs, and other stakeholders, and ensure effective communication and advocacy for child nutrition.
Work Experience
A minimum of two years of professional experience in a relevant field such as nutrition, public health, or programme management. Experience in a developing country context is an asset.
