Organizational Context

UNICEF is committed to global diversity and inclusion by 2030, aiming to increase representation of youth, minorities, and persons with disabilities, while maintaining gender parity. In the DRC, significant representation gaps persist. To address this, UNICEF-DRC is launching a local internship program for youth, minorities, and persons with disabilities.

Job Purpose

The UNICEF DRC office's internship program aims to provide structured professional immersion for students or recent graduates (within the last two years), aged 20-30, to enhance their skills and employability. This specific internship focuses on digital communication and community management for the "La Famille Mosantu" series. The intern will contribute to the development, animation, and digital visibility of the series to expand its reach, increase audience engagement, and disseminate key nutrition messages to targeted populations. The goal is to ensure a regular and structured digital presence, strengthen community engagement, and improve digital performance analysis, thereby capitalizing on knowledge and best practices in digital communication.

Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Nutrition Specialist, the intern will execute specific tasks related to digital communication and community management. This includes managing the editorial calendar, performing community management duties, fostering community animation and engagement, conducting digital monitoring and analysis of performance, and contributing to the overall visibility of the "La Famille Mosantu" series. Expected outcomes include ensuring a regular and structured digital presence for the series, strengthening community engagement around it, regularly monitoring and analyzing digital performance, and capitalizing on knowledge and best practices in digital communication. The intern will be responsible for maintaining and growing the online presence of the series across various social media platforms, interacting with the audience, and reporting on key metrics to inform strategy.
