Job Purpose

The objective of this internship is to provide temporary operational support to the Administration and Finance section. This support will focus on year-end inventory, records management, and archive-related activities. The internship aims to offer the intern practical exposure to UNICEF's administrative processes, internal controls, and document management standards. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and organized management of administrative and financial records within the Cameroon office, contributing to the overall operational effectiveness of UNICEF's mission in the region.

Responsibilities

Support year-end inventory processes, including counting, recording, and reconciling assets. Assist in the classification, indexing, and filing of administrative and financial documents according to established procedures. Digitize physical records to create an accessible electronic archive. Prepare documentation for the approved archive disposal process, ensuring compliance with retention policies. Help maintain accurate and up-to-date records management systems. Provide general administrative support to the Administration and Finance Unit as needed. Assist in organizing and managing physical and digital filing systems. Ensure the confidentiality and security of all documents handled. Contribute to the improvement of records management practices and workflows. Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on operational efficiency.

Work Experience

No prior work experience is required, but an interest in administrative and financial processes is beneficial. Experience with record-keeping or data entry is an asset.
