Job Purpose
The purpose of this consultancy is to design, develop, and implement Safeguarding induction packages tailored for various audiences involved with UNICEF's work. This initiative aims to enhance the knowledge, understanding, and application of conduct standards, risk prevention and mitigation measures, individual and institutional responsibilities, and support and reporting mechanisms. The consultancy will create differentiated induction materials for new UNICEF staff, service providers, contractors, visitors, donors, and field missions. These products will include training materials, self-learning resources, assessment tools, facilitation guides, quick reference materials, and an induction video for new UNICEF personnel, ensuring practical, accessible, and risk-appropriate content for all.
Responsibilities
Design and develop comprehensive Safeguarding induction packages for diverse UNICEF-related audiences, including new staff, service providers, contractors, visitors, donors, and field missions. Create practical and accessible training materials, self-learning resources, learning assessment tools, facilitation guides, and quick reference materials. Produce an induction video specifically for new UNICEF personnel. Ensure all developed materials are adapted to the specific responsibilities, roles, and risk exposure levels of each target audience. Promote a common understanding of conduct expectations, early identification of safeguarding risks, and timely access to support and reporting mechanisms. Contribute to fostering an organizational culture based on respect, dignity, gender equality, non-discrimination, accountability, and the creation of safe environments for children, adolescents, and communities. Review and adapt technical materials in both English and Spanish to ensure broad applicability and understanding across different user groups. Facilitate training sessions, both in-person and virtually, for institutional personnel and partner organizations as needed.
Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in safeguarding, child protection, PSEA, child rights, institutional strengthening, or related areas. Demonstrated experience in designing and developing training materials, learning tools, and capacity-building initiatives. Experience in creating guides, induction materials, self-learning resources, or similar products. Experience facilitating in-person and/or virtual training processes for institutional staff and partner organizations.
