Job Purpose

The Senior People and Culture Associate (Talent Partnerships) at the G-7 level provides crucial administrative, procedural, and operational support for the efficient coordination and implementation of UNICEF's Talent Partnerships portfolio. This role is integral to the People and Culture Transition and Transformation Initiative, supporting the development of an adaptive and capable People and Culture Community. The incumbent will coordinate complex operational processes, facilitate financial and partnership activities, support programme implementation, maintain programme documentation and knowledge management systems, and contribute to continuous operational improvement. The aim is to ensure the timely and compliant delivery of Talent Partnerships programmes, including Junior Professional Officer (JPO) programmes, secondments, internships, and fellowships, working collaboratively with various internal and external stakeholders to achieve UNICEF's strategic goals for children.

Responsibilities

Coordinate the operational implementation of UNICEF's Talent Partnerships portfolio, including Junior Professional Officer (JPO) programmes, secondments, Experts on Mission, internship and fellowship programmes, UN Volunteer initiatives, and other partnership modalities. Facilitate coordination across DFAM, GSSC, headquarters divisions, regional offices, country offices, governments, academic institutions, and other external partners to ensure timely implementation of programme activities and partnership deliverables. Monitor programme implementation, identify operational risks, and recommend practical solutions. Support the preparation of briefing materials, presentations, reports, and programme documentation. Provide operational guidance to headquarters divisions, regional offices, country offices, and external partners. Coordinate financial processes and reporting with DFAM, GSSC, sponsoring governments, programme focal points, and other internal and external stakeholders to support timely financial management and donor reporting. Coordinate donor budget planning and utilization of partnership funds. Prepare cost estimates for partnership activities, including JPO, secondment, fellowship, internship, and UN Volunteer arrangements. Monitor donor balances, expenditures, and funding utilization. Prepare, coordinate, and review certified financial statements, donor financial reports, and related financial documentation. Maintain financial dashboards and monitoring tools. Coordinate knowledge management, documentation, records management, and continuous process improvement initiatives within the Talent Partnerships function.

Work Experience

A minimum of seven years of relevant professional experience in human resources, talent management, programme support, or a related field is required. Experience in coordinating international partnerships or managing fellowship/internship programmes is highly desirable.
