Job Purpose
As Supply and Logistics Manager, you will lead complex operations, influence strategic decisions, and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to contribute to humanitarian and development outcomes that have a lasting impact. This role offers a unique combination of leadership responsibility, technical challenge, and meaningful purpose in support of UNICEF's mission for children. You will lead the supply chain operations that enable UNICEF Mali to deliver results for children every day. Your leadership will help ensure that children and families receive the support they need, even in the most challenging circumstances, by guiding the planning, procurement, contracting, customs clearance, warehousing, transportation, distribution, and monitoring of supplies, services, and construction activities.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Deputy Representative Operations, you will provide strategic leadership and oversight of UNICEF's supply chain operations across Mali. You will guide the planning, procurement, contracting, customs clearance, warehousing, transportation, distribution, and monitoring of supplies, services, and construction activities that support both humanitarian and development programmes. Working closely with programme teams, government counterparts, UN agencies, donors, and implementing partners, you will strengthen supply chain performance, drive operational innovation, manage risks, and ensure that supply solutions contribute effectively to programme outcomes. You will also play a key role in emergency preparedness and response, helping UNICEF maintain operational readiness and deliver timely assistance to vulnerable children and communities. Key functions include management of the Supply section, supply chain service delivery and emergency response, collaboration with programme and implementing partners, technical and advisory support to government/national systems, and innovation in products and markets.
Work Experience
At least 8 years of relevant work experience in Supply Management, Supply Management/Contracting/Logistics, Administration, Vendor Management, Warehousing, Inventory Management, Transportation, Emergency Response, Public Sector Procurement, or any other related fields.
