Job Purpose

Generation Unlimited (GenU) is UNICEF’s global public-private-youth partnership focused on youth skilling and livelihoods. To drive influence, investment, and action on the youth skills-to-opportunity gap and support young people’s learning-to-livelihoods journeys in an AI-enabled, digital, and green economy, GenU seeks a design and creative consultant. This role is crucial for producing high-quality materials for global meetings, key GenU reports, pitch decks, proposals, and social media campaigns. The consultant will provide essential creative expertise for special events and ensure strict adherence to UNICEF's logo and visibility guidelines, thereby enhancing GenU's communication and outreach efforts globally.

Responsibilities

The Design and Creative Communications Consultant will be responsible for producing a range of high-quality visual assets and communication materials. This includes designing and developing materials for global meetings, key GenU reports, compelling pitch decks, and persuasive proposals. The consultant will also create engaging content for social media campaigns across various platforms. Additionally, they will provide expert creative direction and execution for special events, ensuring a cohesive and impactful visual presence. A key responsibility is to maintain and enforce UNICEF's logo and visibility guidelines across all produced materials, ensuring brand consistency and integrity. The role requires strong project management and remote coordination skills to ensure the timely delivery of all high-quality products, contributing significantly to GenU's mission of connecting young people to skilling, employment, and entrepreneurship opportunities.

Work Experience

At least 5 years of experience in leading multimedia graphic design and visual identity projects for publications, social media, and events. A minimum of 2 years of experience working with international organizations (e.g., UNICEF, World Bank) or similar institutions with multi-partner, multi-country programs is also required.

Skills

Multimedia creative asset development for digital media and events, Expertise in leading flagship publication design and data visualization, Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), Strong understanding of design best practices for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube), Ability to adapt designs for multiple formats and audiences, Ensuring consistency with brand guidelines, Project management, Remote coordination skills, Timely delivery of high-quality products
