Job Purpose
The purpose of this consultancy is to strengthen the technical capacities of INDRAP agents in editing, graphic design, and textbook production. This will enhance the quality of educational materials developed and provided to students and teachers. The consultant will be responsible for designing and delivering training on the editorial chain for school textbooks, ensuring that participants gain practical skills and knowledge to improve the production of educational resources. This role is crucial for enhancing the effectiveness of educational content in Niger.
Responsibilities
Design and deliver interactive and participatory training programs on the editorial chain for school textbooks. Develop training materials, including practical exercises, case studies, and role-playing scenarios. Facilitate training sessions, ensuring active participation and engagement from INDRAP agents. Adapt training content to suit diverse participant profiles, considering their educational background and experience. Utilize various support tools such as PowerPoint presentations, guides, videos, and digital tools to enhance learning. Assess the effectiveness of the training through feedback and evaluations. Provide expert guidance on editing, graphic design, and production processes for textbooks. Ensure the training aligns with best practices in educational material development. Document training activities and outcomes, providing a report on the capacity building achieved. Contribute to the overall improvement of educational resource quality in Niger through effective knowledge transfer.
Work Experience
Proven experience as an editor, trainer (in publishing/DTP), school textbook design specialist, or expert in designing and delivering training on the editorial chain, with verifiable references for similar training conducted.
