Job Purpose
The Government of Madhya Pradesh is implementing the Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK), a key initiative focused on enhancing evidence-based decision-making in school education. This project aims for real-time monitoring, data-driven governance, and policy interventions, aligning with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020's emphasis on robust data systems. The VSK integrates critical databases like UDISE+, the state's EMIS, and data on at-risk and out-of-school children. The consultant will support this initiative by leveraging data to improve learning outcomes, track student progress, and ensure efficient resource allocation, contributing to the overall enhancement of the education system through technological integration and data intelligence.
Responsibilities
The National State Consultant will play a crucial role in supporting the Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) initiative by providing expertise in education data analysis and management. This includes analyzing data from various sources such as UDISE+ and the state's EMIS to identify trends, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement within the school education system. The consultant will be responsible for developing and maintaining databases to address specific contextual needs, ensuring data integrity and accuracy. They will also be tasked with generating reports, providing data-driven recommendations for policy and practice, and supporting the government in utilizing data for effective decision-making. Furthermore, the consultant will contribute to the design and implementation of data collection tools and methodologies, facilitate capacity building for relevant stakeholders on data utilization, and ensure that the VSK effectively supports the goals of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, particularly in areas of real-time monitoring, student progress tracking, and resource allocation. The role involves close collaboration with government officials and other partners to ensure the successful integration and utilization of education data.
Work Experience
Minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, report writing, and documentation. Previous experience with EMIS data, policy, and practice is required. Proficiency in MS-Office, especially Excel, is essential. Experience working with government administration is also required.
