The UNESCO Regional Office in Santiago, part of the United Nations for Latin America and the Caribbean, hosts the Latin American Laboratory for Educational Evaluation and Quality of Education (LLECE). LLECE actively engages 18 member countries, aiming to monitor learning progress and provide reliable data for decision-making. With over 30 years of experience, LLECE fosters collaborative, South-South cooperation, generating comparative data and insights on student learning to inform educational improvement policies.
Job Purpose
This consultancy supports the Latin American Laboratory for Educational Evaluation and Quality of Education (LLECE) in producing reports for Central American and Caribbean countries. The role involves contributing to the analysis of the ERCE 2025 curriculum, the dissemination of ERCE 2025 results, and the study of good practices in educational centers. The consultant will assist in generating regional and national reports, communication materials for various audiences, and supporting the finalization and publication of these studies. The objective is to provide valuable, evidence-based information to educational decision-makers and stakeholders, facilitating policy adjustments and educational transformation across the region.
Responsibilities
The consultant will support the delivery of ERCE 2025 results by contributing to regional and national reports on learning outcomes, associated factors, and socio-emotional skills. This includes developing executive summaries, regional reports, and national reports for assigned countries, in coordination with other consultants. The role involves collaborating on the editing and design of national reports and coordinating the collection of supplementary information on educational policies. Additionally, the consultant will create presentations and brief documents for key stakeholders and develop dissemination materials for school actors and teachers. The consultant will also provide technical support for the publication and dissemination of ERCE 2025 curriculum analysis reports, reviewing regional and national reports, consolidating feedback, and preparing communication materials. Furthermore, the consultant will assist in the implementation phase of the regional study on good practices in outstanding educational centers, coordinating with countries, providing technical assistance, and supporting the review and publication of integrated regional reports.
Work Experience
A minimum of 8 years of demonstrated professional experience in educational evaluation. Proven experience in developing and publishing national and international reports. Experience in coordinating and managing educational projects at national or international levels is required. Familiarity with international educational evaluation frameworks and comparative studies is advantageous.
