Job Purpose
The intern will support an Advisor in the Office of the Director-General, assisting in the preparation of files and documentation related to UNESCO's core areas of competence, including education, science, culture, social and human sciences, and communication. Responsibilities
Assist in preparing notes, opinions, and background materials on administrative, political, and communication matters relevant to UNESCO's activities and fields of expertise. Conduct documentary research to support the preparation of speeches, talking points, messages, editorials, articles, and forewords for the Director-General. Support the Speechwriting Pool (Pôle Langage) in drafting and revising correspondence intended for the Director-General's signature. Contribute to the development and management of communication and information projects. Analyze data related to communication and information initiatives. Assist in designing policy briefs using various methodologies. Gain practical experience in international project management and understanding global policy-making processes. Develop research, writing, and communication skills, alongside soft skills such as teamwork, flexibility, and client focus.
